New for the next edition of Startup Runway, September 9, TIE Atlanta, the local chapter of the global tech entrepreneur association, is committing to invest $100K in founders from under-represented groups.

“TIE Angels are stepping up to the opportunity of above-average returns through investing with inclusion,” says Lisa Calhoun, Startup Runway founder and an investor via her venture capital firm Valor Ventures. “Research shows historically higher returns through investing in diverse teams, and if you’re an angel investor curious about getting started, they have a tremendous program.”
